07/20/19 - The Mighty Echoes

The Mighty Echoes have been singing a cappella doo-wop since 1986, crafting harmonies par excellence and entertaining audiences across America.

As author Jay Warner wrote in his book “American Singing Groups” the Mighty Echoes are “the West Coast equivalent of the best of the East Coast groups.”

They have been seen by millions on their many film and TV guest star appearances, beginning with “Who’s The Boss?” and “Murphy Brown” and continuing with “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody” and most recently, "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia." In concert they have appeared with iconic artists such as Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, the Coasters, the Penguins, the Shirelles and many others.

The Mighty Echoes are: Charlie Davis, a native New Yorker, whose bass is deep as an ocean trench and is the rock on which the Mighty Echoes’ sound is built; John Lathan, from Mobile, Alabama, whose deep gospel roots are the source of his powerful tenor; Jon Rubin, from Berkeley, California whose soaring high tenor fronted 70’s teen idols, the Rubinoos, and baritone Harvey Shield who began his career in swinging London as the drummer in Episode Six, precursors to Rock giants Deep Purple.
