06/25/19 - Dave Harvey Presents…

Do you love Bluesy Story Songs with Outrageous Characters? How about Wonderful Americana Songs that give you the Feels? Or a New Artist who is a little bit Pop and a Lot Rock-n-Roll?

Plus a Great Storyteller who makes you laugh and think, often at the same time. Awesome performers are bringing their best to the David Harvey Presents showcase on at The Coffee Gallery Backstage.

FEATURING:

Bill Berry is the Quentin Tarantino of Music. Bill writes bluesy story songs that celebrate deliciously marginal characters and places with outrageous abandon that are brilliantly funny and cool. His latest album Awkward Stage ("an instant classic!" - Blitz Magazine) was a contender for Best Comedy Album at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards. Bill is releasing a new CD this summer, the acoustic soundtrack of his one-man play Rose Petals and Ashes, and Bill is the Lyricist for Monkey Mind - The Musical opening June 14th at The Hollywood Fringe Festival. Website.

Bliss Bowen can work a ballad like no one else. She has a voice and phrasing that makes a song breathe and live. Bliss can go full on country, blast out blues, or rockin roots, yet her songs are even more intimate and personal. After you hear her you'll be inspired to listen again and again! Website.

Austin Musick is a creative dynamo. She is a former model (cover of Newsweek), an accomplished actress (theatre/film/ tv), playwright, and producer who is now pursuing songwriting and performing her music. Her first EP, A Year of Denial and Debauchery, has just been released this spring. Austin has a powerhouse voice that can Rock and Growl but she can also bring on a ballad with warmth and tone. This is one of her first appearances performing music in Los Angeles, so come on out and welcome her here! Website.

And Special Guest… "A Word" With Dylan Brody! Dylan Brody is an award winning playwright, a thrice published author, a humorist and a story-teller. He's a writer for the Huffington Post and a new contributor to NPR's OffRamp on KPCC. He is also a martial artist, but those skills probably will not come into play during the show. Website.

Come out for a great night of music.
